Our Ben Franklin store was happy to be a sponsor to the "Car Seat Safety Fair" organized by "The Monroe Pregnancy Resource Center". The Fair was on May 19, 2007 with good weather, a steady flow of customers and they gave away three booster seats and five convertible car seats.

Ben Franklin had the privilege of working with Monroe High School's Transitional Program. It gave us the opportunity to work with 2 fine young adults Rosalba Alonso and Christo Cole. Thanks for the plaque!

 The "Employer of the Year" Award was presented to DeAnna and Adrian Taylor by the Monroe Chamber of Commerce during their annual community awards evening on Thurs. April 5, 2007. |

 Easter Egg Hunt (April 2007)
Ben Franklin is proud to support the Monroe Community by contributing to the Egg Hunt! We donated Fun Foam hats and decorations that were used by the Post Office in their craft tent, as well as Little Lamb Puppets that children created in the Ben Franklin craft tent.

Monroe Montessori School
(April 2007) The employees at Ben Franklin were privileged to watch the progress of this wonderful quilt as the designer came in for fabric and advice. The quilt was made by the Family & Friends of Monroe Montessori School. It auction for over $1000, with funds going for to the General Fund. The photo shows the 19 kids and 2 teachers from the morning pre-school class. Many methods were used to create this quilt, including painting on fabric, appliqué, machine embroiders, bubble jet process and trapunto! Click here to enlarge image |
