Critter Scarf

Critter Scarf make with Minkee fabricMaterials Needed:
Small soft stuffed animal
1/4 yd of Minkee fabric (or the size of your choice)
Matching Thread
Sewing Machine
Scissors

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Carefully cut the stuffed animal in half across the tummy area. Take out a little bit of the stuffing.

2. Hand or machine sew the animal's halves shut. It will be easier to handle when sewing it onto the scarf.

3. Trim the length of the scarf to the desired length. If it's for a child, you may want it a little shorter.

4. Fold the scarf in half lengthwise. Mark the middle point. Open it up. You will sew the critter's body parts to either the left or right of this middle point. Just make sure both ends match.

5. With right sides together, sew the body parts to one half of the ends of the scarf. Make sure that the body parts are facing each other.

4. Fold the scarf in half lengthwise, right sides together. Sew ends and long edge leaving an opening large enough for turning.

5. Turn inside out. Handstitch opening shut.
