"If You Believe" Frame

Project: "If You Believe" FrameSupply List:
Unfinished wood frame with 4"x6" opening
Bergsma Art card
Viny saying "If you believe in yourself, anything can happen"
Ceramcoat acrylic paint - Forest Green
Mod Podge Matte
Stickles - Diamond color
K&Company - Life's Journey, Blue & Green Damask Paper
Paint brush, sand paper, scissors, ruler & pencil

Instructions:
1. Remove glass from frame and discard.

2. Lightly sand edges of frame. Basecoat entire frame with Forest Green paint. Let dry.

3. Trim card to fit into frame opening, centering as desired.

4. Using the Stickles embellish the card as desired. Set aside to dry. (The card may appear warped but will flatten as it dries.)

5. When the paint on the frame is dry, turn the frame face down on the wrong side of the paper and with a pencil trace around the outside and the inside opening of the frame. Cut out on the traced lines. Now trim and additional 1/8" from all edges of the paper. This will make the paper slightly smaller than the frame and will allow the paint on the frame to show. I also like to round the outside corners of the paper slightly.

6. Lightly sand any rough edges that were raised from painting. Put another coat of paint on the frame. Set aside to dry.

7. When the paint on the frame is dry, apply a good coat of Mod Podge on the front of the frame and while still wet, center the paper on the front of the frame and smooth in place, working out any bubbles. Put another coat of Mod Podge over the entire front of the frame working the edges of the paper down to make sure they are secured and none of the edges are lifting up. Set aside to dry.

8. Finish putting a coat of Mod Podge on the rest of the surfaces.

9. Mod Podge the card on the wooden insert. Press firmly with your fingers smoothing out any bubbles. I didn't put Mod Podge over the card because I like the way the Stickles sparkles without Mod Podge over it. Let dry and then put in the frame.
