Key-hole Scarf

Key-hole ScarfMEASUREMENT: Approx. 6 x 23 ins. (15 x 58.5 cm)

Materials Needed:
1 ball Bernat Boa (50 g)

Size 5 1/2 mm (U.S. 9) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.

GAUGE: 14 sts and 17 rows = 4 ins. (10 cm) in stocking st.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Cast on 22 sts. Knit 4 rows. Next row: (WS) K3. Purl to last 3 sts. K3. Next row: Knit. Rep last 2 rows until work from beg measures 5 ins. (12.5 cm), ending with RS facing for next row.
Divide for opening:
Next row: K11. Turn.
Next row: K1, P7. K3. Rep last 2 rows until opening measures 1 inch (2.5 cm), ending with WS facing for next row. Break yarn. With RS of work facing, rejoin yarn to rem 11 sts and proceed as follows:
Next row: Knit.
Next row: K3. P7. K1. Rep last 2 rows until opening measures 1 inch (2.5 cm), ending with WS facing for next row.
Joining row: (K3. P8) across first side of Scarf. (P8. K3) across second side of Scarf.
Cont even, having 3 sts at each side in garter st until work from beg measures 22 ins (56 cm), ending with WS facing for next row.
Knit 4 rows. Cast off knitways.
