Stone Ring

Project: Stone RingSupply List:
1 focal bead
14 or 16 gauge craft wire
24 or 26 gauge craft wire
Round nose pliers
Wire twisting pliers (optional)
Wire nippers
Ring mandrel (or wooden dowel in the same size as your finger)
Chasing hammer (or ball peen hammer)

Instructions:
1. Cut 2 pieces of larger wire, both approximately 8 inches long.

2. Twist wires together. (You can also use wire twisting pliers for a more uniform twist.)

3. Make a small loop at the end of each wire at one end of the twist.

4. Using the ring mandrel and hammer, bend the wire around at the appropriate mark.

5. Cut the excess wire from the other side of the ring (depending on the size of your focal bead) and create matching loops on the other end, as in step 3.

6. Hammer ring to shape as desired.

7. Cut 2 pieces of smaller wire, both approximately 3 inches long (or more for ease of weaving).

8. Wrap each piece through the loops on one side of the ring base 3-5 times.

9. Place focal bead on both wires together and wrap tails around the loops on the other side to match.

10. Clip any excess wire and hide the ends of the wire.

Your ring is ready to wear!
