INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Choose your picture and your tile board. *Paper should be sealed with Mod Podge.

2. Choose an acrylic paint color that compliments your picture. The paint will be the “grout” of the tile. Paint the entire tile board.

3. Trim your picture to the size of the board (not including the grout around the edges. Glue your picture to the board using a glue stick, making sure all edges of the picture are completely covered. Be careful not to get glue on top of the picture. If you do, an alcohol wipe will remove excess. Be careful not to scrub color off of picture.

4. Using an Xacto, follow the lines of the grout and cut the picture into squares.

5. Mix Envirotex following manufacturer instructions. Protect the work surface by placing wax paper or plastic cups on the surface making sure that the tile board is level and will be left undisturbed to dry.

6.
Pour Envirotex onto your board slowly. There will be bubbles, as you spread with a plastic knife the bubbles will pop. After board has set for 10 minutes slide a scrap of paper, toothpick or plastic knife down the cracks to drain excess. This is what creates the tile look. Scrape the drips off the bottom of the board repeatedly using a plastic knife. You will need to continue this for about an hour or until the dripping stops. If you are using wax paper: wait about 20-30 minutes then move your board using a couple of plastic knives as leverage to move your board to a new sheet of wax paper. Continue this pattern until the dripping stops.

7. After the board has stopped dripping place a plastic box over the top (not cardboard as it contains dust) protect your tile from little fingers or paws. Your board will take 24-72 hours to dry depending on the brand of liquid glass you used.
