Basic Wood Preparation (May 07)
Copied with permission from Jeson Enterprises

Basic supplies you'll need before you get started...
Fine sandpaper
Tack Cloth
Sealer
Foam Brush
Acrylic Paint

The first step is to sand the wood with fine sandpaper until smooth. Wipe clean with a tack cloth.

After sanding, spray or brush on sealer of choice. Allow to dry thoroughly.

Sand wood again if necessary and clean with tack cloth.

Brush on base coat paint with foam brush. It may take 2 or 3 coats to cover completely.

You may apply the sealer again once the paint is dry. This give it an additional protection.
