Ben Franklin Crafts and Frame Shop 50 year anniversary

We’re delighted you’re here to learn more about Ben Franklin Crafts and Frame Shop. TAYCOR, Inc., operating as Ben Franklin Crafts & Frame Shop, a family-owned business with two locations in Monroe and Bonney Lake, Washington. The Monroe store was established in 1975 by Adrian J. and Deanna J. Taylor, and the Bonney Lake store was purchased by the Taylor family in 1989. Together, these stores have been a cornerstone for creativity and craftsmanship in the community for five decades.

Adrian J. Taylor brought a wealth of retail experience to the venture, having spent 19 years with the W.T. Grant organization, where he managed or worked in 13 different stores across the country. This strong foundation in retail inspired Adrian and Deanna to create a space where customers could explore their creativity through crafts, picture framing, home decor, jewelry making, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and paper crafting.

Today, the legacy of Adrian J. Taylor lives on through his son, Adrian C. Taylor, who now oversees both locations. The stores continue to thrive, maintaining the same commitment to quality products and exceptional service that the community has come to know and love.

Ben Franklin is also a major employer, providing more than 1000 crafts-related jobs throughout the years to people of all ages. They take special pride in introducing young people to the world of work, as well as providing work opportunities to others that want to work in a fun place close to home.

Other key assets of the company are its exceptional customer service and continual crafting events. Together they bring people of all ages from all walks of life to enjoy and fully participate in craft classes, demonstrations and special events. The store also offers monthly quilting, and scrapbooking clubs.

More than merely serving as a retail store, Ben Franklin Crafts & Frame Shop has become a social and cultural center for people in both store locations. Ben Franklin is now “the place to go” where home taught students can obtain new art education ideas, where families can have great positive fun doing art projects together, where people of all ages can fully explore their creative potentials in a friendly, supportive environment.

The company is also deeply involved as a generous patron and active participant in numerous community and civic projects and activities. During those years they have given back to the community over $300,000 in documented contributions.

Ben Franklin Crafts & Frame Shop has embraced the digital age with its online e-newsletter, website, and social media presence. With more and more people of all ages getting online, these platforms make it easy to find information of interest, enroll in classes, and take advantage of special offers. The e-newsletter and website provide convenient ways for customers to stay connected and informed.
