2025 marks a monumental milestone for Ben Franklin Crafts & Frame Shop as we celebrate 50 years of creativity, craftsmanship, and community connection. Taylor opened the Monroe store, to the expansion into Bonney Lake in 1989, our family-owned business has been a cornerstone of artistic expression and community engagement in Washington state.

A Legacy Built on Passion and Vision

Adrian J. Taylor’s passion for retail, honed through 19 years with the W.T. Grant organization, laid the foundation for a store that would inspire creativity for generations. Together with his wife, Deanna, they envisioned a place where customers could explore crafts, picture framing, home décor, jewelry making, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and paper crafting. Their dream became a reality and evolved into a legacy now carried on by their son, Adrian C. Taylor.

Over the years, Ben Franklin Crafts & Frame Shop has remained steadfast in its commitment to offering quality products and exceptional service. This dedication has earned us the trust and loyalty of countless customers who have turned to us for inspiration and supplies for their creative pursuits.

Reflecting on 50 Years of Stories

As we reflect on the past 50 years, it’s the stories of people that leave the deepest impression. From helping a terminally ill grandmother prepare for her first and only Christmas with her grandchildren to capturing a cherished photo of a mother and daughter with Santa, these moments remind us of the impact we’ve had on our community.

Adrian J. Taylor often said, “We sell happiness,” and that sentiment rings true today. Our stores have become a place where joy and creativity flourish, and we are grateful for the role we’ve played in enriching the lives of our customers for the last 50 years.
