Saturday Sampler 2024 - quilt club for everyone, everywhere!

We are excited to have Saturday Sampler at our Ben Franklin Crafts and Frame Shop store in Monroe, WA again for 2024. WHEN: We will meet the first Saturday of each month, at 9am. When there’s a holiday, we will change the Saturday that we meet. (Doors will open at 8:30 for you to get settled in and chat before class). Here are the dates for 2024: Jan. 6 | Feb. 3 | Mar. 2 | April 6 | May 4 | June 1 | June 29 | Aug. 3 | Sept. 7 | Oct. 5 | Nov. 2 | Dec. 7.

PATTERN: At the January 6th, 2024 meeting, we will be handing out your full pattern. For those of you participating virtually, we will send your pattern to you prior to the first class or you can arrange to pick it up at the store. If we are mailing it to you via regular mail, early sign up is appreciated.

INSTRUCTIONS: The monthly instructions will be emailed to you on the Saturday of the class, or you can pick it up at our Ben Franklin store in Monroe, WA – (19505 Hwy 2, Monroe, WA, 98272)

Two Quilt Pattern Options:

We’re doing it again for 2024! We are giving you 2 quilt options. One quilt has a more modern feel called Urban Owls and the other quilt has a more traditional look called Bridle Path. More details below.
 
By teaching both of these in class we hope to really help you learn new techniques. We will be going over the techniques for both quilts in class and you can get some great tips for future projects. We hope that they will be something that you enjoy working on next year. 

Bridle Path Quilt - pattern by Lynn Wilder and Marcus Fabrics

Bridle Path is a very traditional queen size quilt that could easily be turned into 2 lap or twin size quilts if you wanted. We have the fabrics in stock and will be making kits for it. Remember that you need to also purchase the membership ($40) to receive the pattern. The pattern is NOT included in the quilt kit.

Bridle Path Quilt - Saturday Sampler 2024

Urban Owls Quilt - Pattern by Wendy Williams of Australia

Urban Owls is a super fun quilt that has lots of different piecing elements. Foundation piecing, appliqué with wool and cotton, lots of color and pattern. We will not be making full kits for this one, but will be bringing in a lot of fabrics that will work for the backgrounds and bold textures. We will certainly help you pick fabrics for the Urban Owls quilt so you have something unique in the colors and patterns you like. We will also have wool options for you when that time comes.

MEMBERSHIP FEE for the year: $40.00

The class fee will include one of the quilt pattern options. If you choose to do both quilts, you will be able to purchase the pattern for the other quilt. You can sign up ahead of time online or in the store. If you want to choose your own fabrics, the requirements will be available in the store.  

Your Saturday Sampler membership includes your pattern and class entrance for the year, all virtual material, tutorials, monthly video of our in-person class, monthly specials for in-person shopping, and access to the Facebook Group. There you can share your projects, ask questions, and stay motivated to get your UFOs done.
