Original Sculpey is soft and pliable, and it works and feels like ceramic clay but will not dry out when exposed to air. After baking, it can be sanded, drilled, carved and painted with water-based acrylic paints or Sculpey Glaze. After coating with a few layers of the glaze*, you can use any paint you like to finish your piece. There are endless possibilities when creating with Sculpey.

Sculpey® Modeling Clay

Sculpey III is the perfect medium for anyone who likes to create. This popular oven bake clay maintains tooling and detailing beautifully. Once cured, Sculpey III bakes hard and takes on a matte, bisque-type finish. It’s easy-to-use and stays soft until you bake it. Sculpey III is perfect for figurines, home décor and seasonal items. Sculpey III provides inspiration for crafters everywhere and is the ideal medium to use for creating special projects for every occasion. Sculpey III can be blended easily to create custom colors or special techniques.

Super Sculpey®

Super Sculpey is a very unique polymer clay, loved by artists, dollmakers and animation studios around the world. With a ceramic-like feel, Super Sculpey is available in a semi-translucent beige that, once baked, captures the glow of real skin. It can also be mixed with Premo or Sculpey III to change the color. As with all of our polymer clays, it is easy to condition right out of the package and stays soft until you bake it. Super Sculpey features fine tooling and detailing characteristics, and does not “fill in” after tooling. Because of the fine tooling and detailing characteristics of Super Sculpey, it is frequently the chosen clay for making prototypes from which molds are made from the Super Sculpey sculptures; then reproductions are made using the molds.

Sculpey® Granitex

Need a clay that looks like stone? Granitex is the answer. Tiny fibers mixed into the clay create this stone-like effect. This unique clay combines the look of granite and the convenience of oven bake clay, making it ideal for jewelry, home décor and miniatures. This fabulous clay is easy to condition and is available in eight subtle, pastel tones which can be painted with water base acrylics if desired. Try mixing a bit of Sculpey III into the Granitex to create your own tint.

You can use most any small implements to help with the details of the design, such as pencils, or you might want a set of modeling tools for professional results.
