– 12” Wood Pallet Surface
– Two Chenille Stems (light brown)
– Raffia
– Dark Brown Felt
– Deer Ear Template (download it here)
– Posca Pens (white & black)
– Red Paint
– Red Glitter
– 3.5” Wood Disk
– 1” Ribbon
– 1 Jingle Bell
– Your Choice of Adhesive
– Mod Podge Medium
– 2 Brushes (1 for paint and 1 for Mod Podge)
– Scissors
1. Paint and Glitter the Wood Disk:
Begin by painting the 3.5” wood disk with vibrant red paint. Once dry, apply a coat of Mod Podge and generously sprinkle red glitter on top. Allow it to dry thoroughly and then affix it near the bottom of the pallet using your favorite glue.
2. Add Adorable Deer Ears:
Trace the deer ear template onto the dark brown felt and carefully cut out the shapes. Use glue to attach them to the upper back part of the pallet, giving your reindeer its distinctive look.
3. Create Chenille Stem Antlers:
Take two light brown chenille stems, bend them in half, and wrap them around your finger to form whimsical corkscrew shapes. Separate the ends slightly for a charming effect. Attach the chenille stems to the upper part of the pallet.
4. Tie a Festive Raffia Bow:
Fashion a bow using raffia and tie it neatly. Trim the ends if you desire a polished finish. Attach the chenille stems first to the upper part of the pallet’s center, then add the raffia bow on top.
5. Bring the Reindeer to Life with Posca Pens:
Using the white Posca Pen, draw expressive eyes on your reindeer. Fill them in and then use the black pen to create charming pupils, giving your creation a personality that will warm hearts.
6. Jingle All the Way:
Thread the 1” ribbon through the bell’s top hole and secure it. Glue the ribbon around the bottom of the pallet, ensuring the bell is centered. Now, every time your reindeer is near, you’ll hear a delightful jingle.
